eprotec melt pumps (gear pumps) have an optimized design for the discharge, squeezing-out process. This guarantees continuous and gentle polymer transport under the most varied of extrusion conditions of pressure, temperature and viscosity. With the melt pump, which builds up the pressure between the extruder and the die or pelletizer, extrusion parameters can be configured in order to guarantee a homogeneous melt with increased throughputs and smallest end product tolerances. For more than 40 years, polymer processors have been using gear pumps in sheet, board and profile extrusion.
